There are many people who say that they are " good practitioners " but they are planning to prepare themselves for a lifetime of adequate food and clothing, and then find a good temple to do good and repair. And it's not just in mind, but all acts are done. But just like that, you're getting ready to get ready. So the master said, " I've never heard a man say, " Enough, no more preparation, I'm going to practice now!""

Potowa describes how even people who were considered to be good Dharma practitioners had the wrong priorities; they said they intended to stay in a monastery to practise the Dharma intensely but first put all their efforts into accumulating food and clothing so that they would not be dependent on anyone. "There are no more than just one or two practitioners who think, 'Let this life turn out as it will,'" Potowa states.

There's nothing more I can add to the above advice.
